The Season is My Reason
That I Abound In Love
With Christmas being my most favorite and memorable time of the year this magical season floods me with even more love than I already have in my heart for others.
By the time I celebrate the 4th of July Christmas is on my mind. I tell you it is on!!! Lollll. It is then that the planning begins.
A Special Christmas Theme
I think about and ask myself what my Christmas theme will be every year when Summer is in her midst. I envision it and then I pen it to paper. Last year my theme was red and gold and it was absolutely gorgeous, radiant and magnificent even if I say so myself. I have to say I nailed it. The colors were so bright and vibrant and yet they were warm and welcoming. I always try to decorate every inch and space of my home with lights and unique touches of Christmas decor because it adds a certain ambiance to every room in my home. I always look forward to putting the magic touch of Christmas to every room in my home starting with the living room. I add lights and garland to my staircase. It lights up my entire hallway upstairs. My family room gets treated to snow and gingerbread men on the mantle of my fireplace. Oh, I can’t forget to tell you about the potpourri. I love Home Goods. I live in there come September. My husband said it makes no sense for me to shop the way I do. My attic is like a Walmart because it is filled to the brim with fall and Christmas decor. I really don’t need to buy another thing. I have enough decorations to last a lifetime, but I know me and I will just have to make at least one little purchase to compliment my existing Christmas decorations. I can always use something new, unique and beautiful when it comes to Christmas decorations. I never tire of looking and then placing things in my cart to purchase. I also like shopping by myself because this way I can get whatever my heart is attracted to without my husband saying, “You don’t need anything else”. Let me tell you; every inch of my home gets covered with something Christmas!
After I’ve pieced together my Christmas decorations, I pull out my Taste of Home Christmas Cookbooks that my husband gifted me about 5 years ago. I go through each one to get a touch of inspiration and new recipes for my Christmas Eve dinner but to be honest with you my family really likes for me to stick to our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. This year I am going to try some news things and if my family doesn’t like it I’ll eat it!!! I don’t even focus on calories during this very special time of year. I just enjoy the Christmas season from the second it begins which for me and my house is early late September, but for me Christmas is everyday in my heart!
From the Christmas theme to my Christmas Eve menu I am in full Christmas mode. Oh oh, I feel the fever coming on already and it is only the beginning of April!
